There are very few things that are more discouraging than an injury. Especially when you are in the zone and have been able to hit the gym on a consistent basis. Injuries take a toll mentally, and you need to do everything in your power to prevent them.

Not every injury is preventable, but most are. Retaining the requisite physical attributes for a healthy gym career is just a matter of discipline and consistency.

Developing new these new habits will allow you to increase your intensity during your workouts without fear of injury. Take 10 minutes every day and prioritize whichever habits apply to you, and make them a part of your daily routine. -

84 days in and I am ecstatic about the transformation. The workout programs and super simple eating plan have changed the way I feel and look. I am healthier, stronger, and energized through the day. It's amazing how carrying around extra weight was really tiring me out.

This is just the start. I know I have some work to do in my mid section and I am really going to start focusing on building more muscle.

Looking forward to a few reward days but even more so to start our next boot camp on June 4th. If you have any interest hit me up in the DM. I will be starting a more intense workout program to help me get to where I want to be.

The pursuit of the truth is the highest goal of a fitness and nutrition program. Trying to make yourself feel good all the time is a worthless pursuit. Boosting your self esteem does nothing but excuse flaws and weaknesses. -
The only way you can change your body is by being completely honest with yourself about your behavior and decisions. -
Your body is nothing but a series of decisions stacked on top of each other. If you constantly make poor exercise and dietary decisions your body will reflect that. If you make good decisions your body will start to reflect that as well.

Take your journey one decision at a time, and realize that each decision has a consequence. It's hard work, but it's necessary and it's the only way to create the body that you want.

Honestly tracking your calories, taking appropriate measurements and accounting for your own worst habits is the only way you can begin to create a path to a better body. -

Meet Ava; the youngest client here at Jaxfit.
Ava is 16 years old and has been coming along to Bootcamp for over 4 months. She wakes up at 5am & hitches a ride to a 6am session.
Ava is in Year 11 and turns up with no excuses to train every session. Her hobbies include the Formula 1 Grand Prix & watching her Collingwood Magpies (team choice not ideal 😝). Got a teenager that needs motivation, this kid is perfect. Let’s show Ava our support and leave her a word of encouragement. Read an Actual Book or Magazine before bed.

I understand how easy it is to read on your phone or tablet. They are self contained libraries that produce their own light. If you sleep next to a spouse it's much easier than having to keep the light on and worry that you're keeping them awake.

Like most things this convenience comes at a cost.

Technology like phones and tablets emit a specific type of light called blue light that disrupts your circadian rhythm. Recent studies have shown that reading with a tablet instead of a paper book delays your natural melatonin production by 3 hours. -
Even if you fall asleep you will delay when you reach deep sleep causing the quality of your sleep to drop.

There has also been strong evidence linking blue light before bed to bouts of depression. -
Buy a small book light and read an actual book or magazine. It's a simple fix that can dramatically improve your sleep quality. -

I read something the other day and it went like this: 🔥Eff motivation. .It's fickle and unreliable and isn't worth your time. Its better to cultivate habits than rely on motivation.
💪Force yourself to do things.
💪Force yourself to get out of bed and practice.
💪Force yourself to work.
🔥Motivation is fleeting and easy to rely on because it requires No concentrated effort to get
🔥Motivation come to you, you don't have to Chase it.
🔥Habits are reliable and motivation is fleeting.
💯The question isn't how you stay motivated It's how to train yourself to work without it.
