I met @christinahelbling almost a year and half ago. I was hesitant to meet new people but my sweet husband @gulfstreamguy talked me into it. Not only did she and I hit it off but our entire families did as well. Christina has become the best friend that I didnโ€™t know I needed. Iโ€™m not the easiest person to get to know but she somehow managed to breakdown my walls. Sheโ€™s embarking on a new adventure and moving out of state next week. Iโ€™m so excited for this new chapter in her life but Iโ€™ll miss her tremendously. Thank you, Christina for your wonderfully outgoing, and caring personality! Youโ€™ve made me step outside of my comfort zone and Iโ€™m forever grateful for it! Iโ€™ll miss my #bootcamp partner but Iโ€™m excited for you and I know that our families will be friends forever! Are you putting in a huge effort at the gym but not seeing results? Remember, what you do outside of the gym counts for 80% or more of your results!

We're all about training smarter, not necessarily harder! (Matt's clients may argue this ๐Ÿ˜‰). We want you to look and feel your best NOW so here are 4 ways to improve your health and fitness in just 2 minutes:

1. Get up and move from your desk.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The average person spends up to 70% of their day sitting! Take regular mini breaks to stretch and breathe deep. Put your body in a state of calm - stress makes cortisol sky rocket which makes it harder to lose weight!

2. Focus on gratitude.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Living a busy, demanding life means the little things can go unnoticed. Gratitude is one of the most health promoting emotions we can experience. When you have a spare two minutes, jot down a list of five things you're grateful for and watch your mood lift.

3. Have a glass of H2O.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Drinking enough water helps keep your hormones in balance and your metabolism humming. Studies have also shown that a glass of water before a meal can help with weight loss as thirst is often mistaken for hunger!

4. Choose nutrient dense foods.
๐Ÿ‘‰ These foods provide more nutrition bang for the calorie buck, as they contain an abundance of nutrients and other healthful substances - vitamins and minerals, fiber, lean protein, and unsaturated fats - but are not excessive in calories. Examples of nutrient dense foods include leafy greens such as spinach, kale, and broccoli; whole grains such as wheat, corn, quinoa, and barley in the form of breads and cereals; fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, and pomegranates; food rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as chia seeds and flax seed and vegetables such as mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and bell peppers. In other words, eat more wholefoods!
