On Tuesday night we had a special HIIT class for the boys from the @blackwoodfc ! The boys had a blast as they did burpees, sit ups and lunges in the circuit training with our high energy fitness instructor and upbeat music 💪🏻

Planking ~ This is the very first exercise I did when I started workout a year ago. And this is the place where I started, the outdoor deck outside my condo’s gym. It’s an amazing journey for me from someone who don’t workout at all to someone who now workout regularly 3-5 times a week. I see how my body and mentally transformed in this period. Today was the least awful of all the awful, crazy hot days we’ve been having soooo figured I would FINALLY get outside again! ☀️🏋️‍♀️. It was still pretty hot (but manageable) and it felt GREAT to workout in the sunshine again😅. I started with a jog from my house down to Saint Mary’s (one of my favorite spots!) then found a picnic table and decided to have a little fitness fun💦😎. I did 4 rounds of all the exercises shown then stopped at the park on the way back for a few pull ups (not shown). This ended up being a great workout and super fun!! 💪🏼😀

Tuesday grind was ON today but I still made time for a nap! 😴 I’ve been a big fan of naps this last year, as my mornings have gotten earlier 🌅 and longer and I can never seem to get enough sleep 💤 at night. I used to really beat myself up when I would accidentally fall asleep mid-day and mid-work but now that I’ve shifted my mindset, I don’t let the nap stress me out. I plan it according to my day, make time for it, keep it moderate, and set an alarm and don’t snooze it, this way I’m not mad at myself for “wasting”my time 💁🏽‍♀️. It’s actually helping me be more productive in the end and help me show up more for my clients. Do you guys make time for naps?!

Do you ever have those days where you had every intent to get to the gym ......but then it just didn’t happen? Me too! It happens, but guess what - if you can’t make it to the gym there are so many other ways you can fit in some movement to your day!

Home workouts are not my first choice, but sometimes they are my only choice! Being a mom and business owner sometimes life gets really busy, but I never let that get in the way of me getting some movement in. Know how much better I feel when I’m taking care of myself and fitting in some form of exercise a few at least a few times a week. Can’t imagine how I would’ve made it through my pregnancy and in postpartum without exercise. And honestly say I have enjoyed the process of both and I owe a lot of that to exercise. Before having Jaxson I was getting in at least 3 to 4 strength workouts per week and maybe one or two cardio and core workouts. Now sometimes if I’m down at my gym I only have time to train clients and teach classes and head back home. Not all the time but definitely sometimes.

Days I’m not able to make it to the gym, I had to the basement and put in work. Here is an example of some of the exercises I do at home. You don’t even need equipment to do any of these exercises I added the medicine ball in because I have, if you don’t have it you don’t need it!

Do Each exercise for 30 seconds, A 10 second rest between exercises, try to complete the circuit 3 to 4 times. You push yourself hard enough you will definitely be feeling it at the end!!!
