This year has been insane with music and it's only getting better. I can't wait to show you guys the new content and release new music. Producing will always be my number 1 priority but I know you've been loving my singles. Thanks for all the support on my EP as well 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The missing review from Kanye’s run of 5 7-tracks produced albums released in 5 weeks is his own, released between Daytona and Kids See Ghosts. The last mentioned albums were incredible but Ye is my personal favorite from the series. Many people hate Kanye, but, even if it is certainly not always for the better, he’s very natural in his own fashion, and I feel Ye is Kanye’s most introspective and personal album to date. I was really moved by this record in every way possible. I love Kanye. -> 5/5
Too difficult to choose favorite tracks as I love them all. No misses for me on Ye.
I must admit I have not finished my june reviews, but this could not wait any longer. A few june reviews will therefore be released after but I already know they will neither be album of the month of June, nor end on my favorite albums of the year so far (next post). Ye is my favorite album of June, closely followed by his collaborative album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghost (hip-hop). I also enjoyed Kamasi Washington’s Heaven And Earth (Jazz) and Teyana Taylor’s KTSE (Contemporary R&B) also excecutively produced by Ye. Finally Jay-Z & Beyoncé’s Everything Is Love as The Carters is also worth checking out as well as Father John Misty’s last album God’s favorite customer and Nas’ Nasir (again produced by Kanye).
