Women are afraid to lift heavy, and so was I. The reason for that is that they are afraid to bulk up and to turn into bodybuilders. Don’t worry girls, it’s not going to happen unless you put some SERIOUS work into it because we simply don’t have the same amount of testosterone as guys have (which is 15-20 time more). Why you actually should start doing it:
1. You will burn more calories outside of the gym even just by sitting on the couch, because your muscle mass will increase.
2. Curves. Weightlifting will help you to sculpt beautiful curves like no other exercise.

4. Anti-aging benefits. Weight lifting maintains lean muscle tissues that assist in anti-aging processes. It prevents age- related muscle loss and good for your heart . *******From my personal experience I have to add, that I’ve been into sports my whole life (was enrolled to gymnastics when I was 5 years old, was also doing aerobics, dancing and some martial arts) and I was always fit. But when I start lifting in my mid 20s the results were amazing and immediate!!!! I also spend less time in the gym, instead of doing 50 body weight squats, you can just to 10-15 barbell squats.
