Here's a European common greenbottle fly (Lucilia caesar, Calliphoridae) cleaning its frontal tarsi (feet). 🐝
Flies are usually rather connected to dirty environments (especially carrion and faeces) and thus evoke disgust. But did you ever have a closer look at them? They can be actually quite beautiful and fascinating at least. Just look at all the tiny hairs sprouting up from its vibrant green body!
Also this species does "mainly feed on nectar and pollen as well as carrion and faeces" (Wikipedia, The Kosmos Guide to Insects). This makes it a very important pollinator. In fact "most pollinators are flies" (private source).
