Most mindfulness practices begin with your body and drawing attention to your breath. I started teaching Pilates because I feel it’s so important to move with intention and to protect your body, to improve endurance, stamina, strength, and power.
Pilates principles are breathing, concentration, control, centering, precision, and balanced muscle development, stability, intuition, and relaxation. All this with the natural ways your body moves.
For eight years I chemical straightened and flat ironed my hair.
I loved the look but my hair finally started breaking and looking unhealthy.
I finally gave in - stopped with the chemicals over a year ago and put away my flat iron.
No color no straightening
It has been a frustrating journey - every day it looks different.
But there is healing that comes with becoming fully authentic.
The past few months I have been listening to my spirit more than ever and trusting the flow of life.
That means no longer forcing anything - friendships - work - and my hair - and truly trusting the flow.
Here’s to a fuck yes life and to letting go of anything that dims our light.
