Beautiful days here in Barcelona and what a treat to stay at this sustainable @hostalgrau in the middle of the centre. It can get really busy in the heart of Barcelona but once you step into this small green oasis you feel directly at home. The interior is in the main area is funky and hip but the rooms are calm and clean. For this hotel sustainability sits in small details too sleeping on an organic mattrass and using LED lights. Have you ever stayed in a green hotel already?
The Bushwick Collective is known the world over for amazing street art. Gut wrenching, heartbreaking, fun, funny and fabulous art that makes you feel emotions that you didn't even know existed. But I love to look at the subtle beauty here. The beauty of the everyday. The beauty of the places that often get overlooked because of all the obvious beauty of the street art that is in your face. But I love the simple, understated beauty right here. Maybe it calls to me because I too felt understated and overlooked much of my life. I felt like I didn't matter and like no one needed me and like my inner beauty would never really shine through. Somehow, I never felt seen or heard or like anyone would ever get me and my quirky soul. But that was never reality. That was a lie that I told myself. The truth s that people will see our beauty once we let them in. Vulnerability and honesty are the key to feeling connected and feeling seen amidst all the chaos of the world around you. So the question remains, are you brave enough to let people in? Me, I'm still working on being brave. #girlwiththepassport
