Insta rapped me on the knuckles for posting a clip of this film 😂 Oosh. Slap me, spank me, cover me in jam 🤷🏼♀️ Ended up on the cutting room floor 😂 Fear not epicureans. I’m spreading the word again on this cult bit of cinematography. Watching this tonight and what a perfect film it is. Released in 1951 it hasn’t aged a day. Klaatu (bear with me) and Gort (seriously, its worth a watch) come to Earth to spread the message of peace and de-weaponisation. Soon after stepping off his ship Klaatu is shot by the nervous hoomans. Making his escape he soon befriends a young boy who helps spread his message. Starring the wonderful Michael Rennie it’s a treat for the eyes and soul 🙏❤️ #thedaytheearthstoodstill#1951#blackandwhitemovies#culttv#cultmovie#moviescenes#michaelrennie#klaatu#lockmartin#gort#patricianeal#20thcenturyfox#cinematography
