Today I’m teaming up with The Compassion Experience to educate people on different cultures & expose them to the raw ugliness of global poverty. It’s a sobering, yet hopeful experience. I hope some of you have the opportunity to come check it out and educate the ones you love on the social and economical issues that surround our planet.
3,234 ft ascension in 2.3 miles up. Not quite as hard as I expected it to be. Maybe I was distracted by the constant sweat pouring down my face from heat. It was pretty darn hot today. Almost no shade the entire way. There was like a dozen people up at the summit, coincidence of timing I think, usually I see one or two other people on the trail, period.
I met a lot of cool people today!!
1. This one guy was training for the Watsatach 100. He had planned on running up and down 3x, but he said he will quit at 2x today due to the heat. I wonder if one day I can run 100 miles? Right now I can barely run 2 miles...haha.
2. I met a professional paraglider. This I will never try. I’m super clumsy and I’m afraid of heights.
3. I met a very attractive young couple who are just casually driving around the US for leisure. They asked what I did for a living, I said I’m a photographer. They said they would model for me. So maybe we will do the shoot Monday morning.
