emotional rant about Otakon below !!
Yes, this convention did have plenty of drama and issues. However, in these moments did I realize how wonderful my cosplay friends and you all are, and how thankful and grateful I am to have your love and support. It was a wild ride emotionally, but I feel as if despite the shortcomings this is one of the best convention experiences I have had in a long time.
Friday I performed with @aquamarine.idols , where despite our many shortcomings before the performance we still kicked ass and had an amazing time performing. This may have been my first time performing with them, but I already love them dearly and can’t wait for what the future holds! That day I also did a photoshoot with one of my long time best friends, @trojancosplay . It’s been an amazing two (almost three!!!) years of friendship with Kylie and this shoot was a blast. I can’t wait to see the results of the photos and I love Kylie dearly.
Saturday morning I was in a Houseki no Kuni group as Cinnabar hosted by another very close friend of mine, @kayosudoenvy7 ! I could literally spend forever talking about how amazing each cosplayer involved was, how stunning everyone looked and how I really hope I can shoot with them in the future. This was a large highlight on my convention and I’m extremely thankful to have participated! I also got to run my panel with @mack9duracell, which was a complete blast and very successful! Mack and I worked hard on this panel and seeing the smiles on everyone’s face and feedback made us both extremely happy. Saturday PM wasn’t too eventful, except my Sparkling Justice received lots of compliments and I felt very, very proud of myself in that moment. Yes there was that one cosplayer who told me I didn’t fit the character but I think the million other people who said otherwise speak louder.
Finally, Sunday was the final wrap up. Because I hate myself I cosplayed Sans Komaeda, which was ... interesting. Many reactions from screams of terror, confusion, hysterics and more were met and I loved every minute of it. I enjoyed being able to mess around with my friends one last time before the convention ends (cont in comments)
