Uncle Chris, it’s been a little over 4 months since I got the call that I would never see you again on this earth. Your early death of 51 shook the entire family, the town of Foxboro, MA and the entire community of Steamboat Springs Colorado in ways that I can’t even communicate. I got up and spoke some words about you at the foxboro celebration of life uncle Chris, but at the first celebration in steamboat I was too stunned and not able to say a word, but I listened to the stories that were told. It was truly amazing to hear all of the vivid stories from the residents of steamboat who interacted with you over the last 33 years. It’s hard for me to even imagine that you were able to accomplish so much in the skiing biking and adventure world because every time I saw you I was always the center of attention. It was always about me. You were so selfless. The last time I saw you was in Moab Utah not far from where I took this picture, where you led me on a dream adventure thru the desert filled with camping, biking, climbing and more things then I can speak of. You took time off work and made sure I had the time of my life in Utah. Thousands upon thousands of pictures are posted throughout the week on the Internet of Moab but what you all might not realize is that I have a hard time looking at any of them without shedding a tear. I plan to go back as soon as I am able to to this region. I want to spread your ashes uncle Chris; Sit quietly in the desert by myself in the middle of the night and look at the stars and see if I can communicate with you. But mostly I want to remember the good times with you Chris. I’ve been posting a lot about my journey with the spartan race. But what a lot of you don’t know is that my Uncle Chris really wanted to go to a race and he is a huge inspiration for what I am doing. I just got to spend some amazing time with your twin brother Craig @cnjohns1967 and we both were able to see you clearer thru our conversations. We love you forever uncle Chris - Johnsie - wheels ❤️🙏🚴♂️ .
