FOR SALE ‘Sea Colours 5’. I thought I was ready to start a different painting to this one, but then realised there seemed to be one more painting that wanted to come inspired by the beautiful seascapes and sunsets in Zadar, Croatia. There is no pre-drawing, stenciling or taping, just the rhythmical strokes of flatly applied paint that build up the increasingly opaque layers. The colours are often only resolved completely with the last few layers. 90x60cms, acrylic on canvas.

Gusts of wind in our faces, we were advancing slowly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Look, to your left” … and there it appeared, in a flash. A giant beam of light depending on the valley below. And as fast as it came, it was gone barely 10 seconds later.
