Messy hair, don’t care! ✌🏼
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I honestly believe health, wellness, and beauty shine from within. The better you treat your body with healthy foods, lifestyle choices etc, the brighter you will shine 🌟
Fueling your body allows you to find balance within yourself and allows your body to work optimally! Mental health and internal health are linked and one greatly can effect the other. The better the fuel, the more efficient the engine will run. Just some “food” for thought. 😉🌱
Sent my check-ins this morning! Can’t believe tomorrow is officially ✌🏼 weeks out from South Island Champs!
What a week it has been with my projects, experiments, writing, as well as my training! I successfully completed my technique on my own on Monday! Which means I will get to start practicing and beginning my experiments soon! Learning so much and loving it! I sent my draft of my Chapter 3 of my thesis to my supervisors yesterday, with a little hesitation on clicking the send button! I am working on a presentation I have next week and reflecting on all that I’ve learnt since I started my PhD journey! •
I had my freak out moment about show with my coaches, but was reassured everything is a process. I had so much emotion and feelings of gratefulness! This prep has been incredible and I can only imagine what’s to come!
📍Tongariro Alpine Crossing, NZ
📝This 19.4km Tongariro Alpine Crossing trail is the most challenging hike in my life 😂. I read reviews stating this is one of the top 10 day hikes in the world and can be done in 5.5-6hrs (the sign said 6hrs 20mins for the whole trail); thought someone who is below-moderate fit like me could have it done in 7-8 hrs, I was so wrong! 🙄 Imagine to walk ups and downs for 9 hrs+ nonstop plus bear with the extreme weather change throughout; you need not only physically strong but mentally as well to complete the whole trail.
I couldn’t feel my legs at the end; woke up with whole bodyaches esp lower back, knees, ankles.
My advise is to wear a complete hiking gear when you decide to give this trail a shot: tons of water, foods, professional hiking shoes (mine aren’t so it’s hurting), trekking poles, extra clothings, sun hat, sunscreen, etc. And enjoy this beautiful view along the way! 😉
Visited in Nov 2017.
Tonight's sunset with a glass of vino while laying on a beanie after a full 8 hr day of winery visits. Waiheke island is only a 40min ferry ride from Auckland which gives me more of a reason to come back. And I only visited 5 of the island's 30 wineries 😁 #waiheke#cablebaywinery
