The name of the #porsche#910 always seemed a bit odd. As it’s successor was the #907. In fact it is a redevelopement of the 906 and therefor it was known as the 906/10 at the factory. The 910 made it all too clear for Porsche they needed to do something else to compete with the GT40 and Ferraris on the faster tracks (read: add more displacement). This also would be Porsche’s last LHD racer as RHD gave advantages on the predominant clockwise tracks.
