There’s nothing more refreshing than a smoothie bowl in the summer!

@rawnutritional sent me a sample of their maple vanilla protein powder so of course I had to make it into a smoothie bowl, and let me tell you, it definitely did not disappoint!!

I added 1 scoop of the protein powder, 1 frozen banana, 3/4 cup almond milk and a little water and ice, to make it thick and creamy, into my @ninjakitchen bullet and just blended it up!
Then I topped the bowl off with my homemade granola, some cacao nibs and a handful of blueberries!
10/10 would recommend!

BUDIN DE MANDARINA
Qué lleva:
2 mandarinas
1 huevo
1 taza de azúcar mascabo
50 cm3 de aceite
100 g de harina de arroz
100 g de harina de maíz orgánica

Cómo se hace:
Licuar 1 mandarina entera con cáscara (pero sin semillas) y el jugo de la otra mandarina con el huevo, el azúcar y el aceite. Incorporar las harinas y mezclar.
Precalentar el horno a 180 grados y cocinar por 30/40 minutos. Y tenés un budín súper húmedo para endulzar tu fin de semana largo. ❤

Sock It To Me Cake

Ingredients :

Cake
1 box (18.25 ounce size) butter cake mix
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Filling
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Glaze
1 cup confectioners' sugar
3 tablespoons milk, orange juice or lemon juice

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a tube pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, sugar, and oil an mix until just blended. With the mixer running, add the eggs one at a time. Mix until incorporated.
Add the vanilla and sour cream to the batter and mix well. Stir in the pecans by hand.
Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared tube pan.
In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon until blended. Sprinkle the mixture over the cake batter in the pan.
Gently pour the remaining cake batter into the tube pan over the cinnamon and sugar layer. Do not stir.
Place the tube pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 60-65 minutes or until the cake tests done with a toothpick.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix together the confectioners sugar and milk (or juice) until smooth. Set aside.
When the cake is done, remove from the oven and let cool on a rack in the pan for 5 minutes.
Place a piece of waxed paper under the cooling rack. Invert the tube pan onto a plate and remove the cake. Invert the plate onto the cooling rack so the cake is right-side up again.
While the cake is still warm, drizzle with the glaze. Let the cake cool completely before slicing and serving.
Serve leftover cake in an airtight container

Bill Smith's Atlantic Beach Pie

You’ll need :
Makes one pie
For the crust:
1 1/2 sleeves of saltine crackers
1/3 to 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
3 tablespoons sugar
For the filling:
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup lemon or lime juice or a mix of the two
Fresh whipped cream and coarse sea salt for garnish

How to make it:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crush the crackers finely, but not to dust. You can use a food processor or your hands. Add the sugar, then knead in the butter until the crumbs hold together like dough. Press into an 8 inch pie pan. Chill for 15 minutes, then bake for 18 minutes or until the crust colors a little.
While the crust is cooling (it doesn't need to be cold), beat the egg yolks into the milk, then beat in the citrus juice. It is important to completely combine these ingredients. Pour into the shell and bake for 16 minutes until the filling has set. The pie needs to be completely cold to be sliced. Serve with fresh whipped cream and a sprinkling of sea salt.

6 cenas rápidas 1. Garbanzos de lata pequeña escurrido + atún de lata (enjuagarlo si tienen problemas de presión alta) + 1 tomate picado, 1/4 de cebolla, culantro, jugo de limón, pimienta. ¡ Revolver todo y listo ! .
2. Salmón fresco idealmente o de lata + 1 bolsa de lechugas mixtas (que ya venden preparadas en el super) + 1 cucharada de vinagre, jugo de limon, pimienta y sal + 1 paquete de Salmas (Sanisimo)

3. Arepas o panqueques: licuar 1/2 taza de avena, 2 huevos, 1 taza de zanahoria rallada, 1 cucharadita de cacao, 1 cucharada de linaza molida, 1/4 taza de leche o queso cottage o yogurt griego. .
4. Huevos con todos los vegetales que tenga: cebolla, chile dulce, pipián (zucchini), zanahoria, trocitos de papa com cáscara, revolver todo y formar una torta en el sartén. Agregar tomate y pepino en rodajas. .
5. Burrito: tortillas integrales Rapiditas de Bimbo con pollo asado, pico de gallo y frijoles molidos. .
6. Minipizzas: en pan thins de Bimbo poner en cada tapa queso mozarella, salsita de tomate natural (cocine bastante y tenga congelada para usarla en cualquier momento), hojas de espinacas o rodajas de berenjena o zucchini o el vegetal que quiera. Hornear por 5 min.

I was researching Japanese food the other day and one thing that stood out to me was that they often use potato starch to dust their fried chicken instead of flour. I decided to give it a try as I figured it would make a delicious gluten free fried chicken

I spiced up some @bobsredmill potato starch with rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika and dusted the chicken in it.
I let the chicken sit in the seasoned potato starch for about a half hour and then deep fried it at 350°f for about 12 minutes. After it came out of the oil I seasoned it with salt and let it rest on a cooking rack for about 10 minutes.
I also used the potato starch to dust some sweet potato fries and then deep fried those too.
Along with this I figured I needed something green so I made a broccoli slaw with dried cranberries, carrot and almonds. I made a sauce with 1/4 cup mayo, 1 tbsp cider vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, salt and pepper.
To finish this all off I made a quick Thai chili sauce for the chicken. 1/4 cup each vinegar and sugar plus 1 tsp of dried chilies. I cooked this until the mixture was thick and then poured it over the chicken.

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE ALICE SPRINGS CHICKEN RECIPE
Ingredients :
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
Lowry’s Seasoning Salt
6 bacon slices
1/4 cup regular mustard
1/3 cup honey
2 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
1 cup sliced fresh mushroom (I omitted because my family does not like mushrooms)
2 cup shredded Colby/Jack cheese
Directions :
First, Sprinkle and rub the chicken breasts with seasoning salt. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes
While the chicken is in the refrigerator, cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside. *Do not discard grease.*
Saute chicken in the bacon grease for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until browned. Place chicken in a 9″ × 13″ casserole dish or pan.
To make the Honey Mustard: In a small bowl, mix the mustard, honey, mayonnaise and dried onion flakes.
Spread some of the Honey Mustard over each piece of chicken, then layer with mushrooms, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese.
Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and chicken is done
