“Skills”.....Power,,Agility,Coordination,Balance,Speed, reaction time.Around this terms for who study sport medicine are build years and years of reading, science, understanding, questioning, research, testing, evaluation, retesting...etc. Keep on being courious in life and never stop to learn!. When you train I always suggest to don’t get stuck just on improving one of this skills. Build an “intelligent “ level of fitness and prevent injury instead!#fitness#sport#sportskills#power#agility#speed#fastreaction
Specific training for fighters!
You could call this a form of plyometrics, agility and speed drills! It’s a beautiful drill with linear and lateral movement, allows the fighters to work on their speed and footwork.
One of the key components to my programming for fighters is how can I make them faster and more explosive? Of course you would want them to have a level of strength before you start to develop speed. I want the fighters I work with to be the dominant ones!
Everything we do has to have a cross over effect to the sport, it has to have a purpose! When implementing drills I would always ask the question “how will this help us in competition, where would we use this”.
