The Mentor: “One can never truly be fulfilled if they only live for themselves. The most rewarding sensations in life can only be unlocked through genuine deeds of selflessness.” It was an honor to play a small role in this year’s “Cuts, Colleges, and Careers Event” hosted by @TheFowlerFirm and it’s philanthropically focused founder @Steves_Law. Last year’s event was a great success. This year was the birth of an annual beacon of mentorship. The extensive diversity of all the amazing professionals who selflessly donated their time provided our young attendees with priceless guidance and advice. I bonded with one bright young King in particular whose had his sights set on being a biologist since he was a boy. He’s passionate about technological advancements and plans to also work in the computer production field. I’m excited to watch his journey unfold and lend any assistance I can along the way. @Steves_Law, I’m proud of you brother. And I appreciate all you do for and in the community. Keep using your hard earned success and your network to benefit others.
Join us on Thursday, August 30th, 2018 to celebrate Italian culture, community service, and academic achievement at our annual Education Awards Banquet! This year, we will be hosted by Americana Resort and Conference Center on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Tickets are still available and can be purchased via our website.
Through the generosity of our supporters and community partners, we have been able to, once again, secure five, $1000 scholarships to be awarded to deserving students of Italian descent residing in the Niagara Region. Since 2002, our growing, non-profit organization has helped raise over $135,000 for local students pursuing studies at the post-secondary level!
We would like to thank all of our many applicants this year for their hard work and inspiring applications. We know that you will continue to succeed at school and in all of your future endeavours, and encourage you to re-apply to our scholarship program. However, after a rigorous adjudication process, CIBPA's Education Committee has selected the following five recipients as winners of this year's Education Awards:
Justin DiCienzo (Brock University)
Victoria Innocentin (Niagara College)
Loreana Armenti (Niagara University)
Julia Labricciosa (McMaster University)
Lucas Melchiorre (Brock University)
EVERYONE is invited to attend our awards ceremony dinner. This year, we are very proud to announce that our keynote speaker is award-winning, local entrepreneur, businessman, and philanthropist, David D'Angelo!
