The Bridge of Sighs in Cambridge back in April. It was the start of this never ending extra hot British summer.
Came down with a bad cold on Friday morning. Pretty sure I worked all day at the office with a fever as by the end of the evening, I had to use wet towels on my body to cool me down. But the fever at least only lasted that day and night. The pesty sore throat has stayed however, and it pairs badly with my asthma. My immune system is shit, I should eat more fruits and vegetables. Purple is a fruit, right?
On the amazing plus side, however, I went to see a mortgage advisor with the boyfriend on Saturday and they accepted me even though I'm on a visa. This was the best news in a long time and it's completely made a huge impact in our current and future lives.
The Bridge of Sighs is located in Venice, northern Italy. The enclosed bridge passes over the Rio di Palazzo, and connects the New Prison (Prigioni Nuove) to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace. It was built in 1600.
The Bridge of Sight is one of the most famous opera of Venice, it is mostly remembered for the magic and romantic moment when lovers passing by on a gondola to tell the truth the bridge was made for way different purpose.
