Happy day @uspsheffield as our L3, L4 and PhD students graduate. These guys were my first incoming cohort when I started 3 and a half years ago with Urban Studies and Planning and it's quite emotional that I to am leaving the department next week myself. Feels like an end to era #emotional#urbanstudiesandplanning#urbanstudies
Iconic architecture is usually dated architecture. It’s a stamp, a mark, an identifier, a memory. It made an impact regardless if it was part of the fad. It defines it’s city’s character and tone.
When buildings like that get torn down. The entire fabric of the city is open for drastic change; good or bad. — @ifbldngscldtalk

I can’t believe how much #tulaneave is transforming. Pre-Katrina this was ground zero for prostitution, drugs, and crime and now it has the new VA and UMC hospitals, a new $10 million street renovation, restaurants opening up, and now this apartment complex. #gentrification#midcity#urbanstudies 🌆🏙
