Walking through the historic grounds of Fountains abbey was truly an amazing experience. Steeped in history that dates back to the 11th century with so many hidden treasures in and around the abbey makes it such a treasure and is must just for the abbey alone. This photo shows the towering Huby's tower standing at 167ft and made from local limestone. The parkland and not to mention studley royal also make this area all the more magical. I'll certainly be back for more!!!😄 @nationaltrust
One of the most beautiful churches that I have been, amazing and unique, the church of Saint Mary (Kosciol Mariacki) was built in the Middle Ages (built between 13th century- 15th century), it has the largest sculptured altar of its kind in Europe, done by the German artist Veit Toss and carved in different types of wood, its size is 11x13 meters.
