White Sands National Monument, New Mexico. The largest gypsum sand dune field in the world. It is by far one of the most unique and photogenic locations that I have ever been to, so good that @hayoui and I recently decided to go and visit again. The landscape is ever-changing, so it was interesting to see how the dunes had shifted and formed this time around. There is no shortage of interesting patterns and shapes to shoot here. I thought I would share a few extended tips on how to get the most out of your time photographing White Sands NM along with my thoughts on the @getolympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III - you can find the link in my bio! #OlympusPartner

I figured today would be fitting to share this moment from a unique inland temperate rain(snow)forest in BC that was proposed to be logged but was stopped thanks to a group of people who came across it and stood up to protect it. It is one of the province’s newest parks and the next goal is to get UNESCO world heritage status for this site.

Right place, right time watching these massive waves form off the calving glacier. However the sad reality is that a lot of the things I love to do (including work and getting this photo) impact the planet negatively in one way or another. I guess it’s just about balance. Finding ways to offset it and give back while still enjoying your life. What are your thoughts? Does anybody have ways of offsetting that they would recommend?

July 2018. 10 friends, 9 days of cycling (relay), 6,223 kilometers. Vancouver to Halifax, Pacific to Atlantic. Why, you ask? Well, we enjoy riding bikes, we love type 2 fun and it makes it all the better if we can somehow give back. We've partnered with @theoceanlegacy and @surfrider_pacificrim to donate 100% of the funds raised to reduce plastic waste in our oceans.
I have a couple more months to whip myself into shape but in the meantime I am going to start off by donating 2cents/km ($124.46 total) towards @gregbalkin’s ride because he is going to do all of the uphill sections 😏
Visit tourdecrownride.com for more details on the ride and how you can get involved! Really excited for this one.

An evening above Vancouver with good company. Being able to conveniently access so many mountain trails from the city is something I don’t take for granted.

I still have a hard time believing that this is on the east coast of Canada. Our trip to the maritimes last summer well exceeded my expectations. Quaint towns, incredible coastlines and the friendliest people. Looking forward to more time out there this summer!

Steve, the lead wrangler at Flying U Ranch was popular among the horses, they all wanted to be in the photos with him.

One of the most unusual, yet stunning landscapes that I saw in the Cariboo-Chilcotin. Massive hoodoos and BC’s largest sand dune line the shores of the vibrant Chilcotin river in Farwell Canyon. It would be worth a trip back in the summer to see it in its prime! #explorebc #ccclives

The warm spring weather we have been experiencing lately has me dreaming of the long summer days ahead.

While flying around the summit of Tantalus Mountain recently our pilot told us the story of how it got its name. Legend has it a local mountain climber was "tantalized" by the sight of the range's impressive and rugged spires from across the chaotic waters of the Squamish River.
Totally makes sense to me.

Shot using the @getolympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III kit while scouting the area for summer travels. (30mm, 1/3200 sec, f/5.6, ISO 200)
