Do you know people who take the greatest risk of all?
Tonight's reflections come from a mindset of being seriously overworked from this wedding season crushing on my downtime, BIG TIME, and the feeling of running after fleeting time. Then I remembered this :
It is merely a silly construct of society to impose a way of living. Once you liberate yourself from this line of thinking, then can you start to feel free and realise that your possibilities are endless. 1. Create the life you want in your head.
2. Think of the things that bother you in your current state of being.
3. What separates you from both realities? What changes need to be made? What are you waiting for to change them? Your life is now, and it's fading little by little as you read this.
A few years ago, for me, it has been to slow down. Slow down my pace in a far too fast paced world, and learning to live simply. I am still learning. Every day I learn, and every now and then I have these big questionning moments of : we are so god damn tiny in a huge ass universe, what the fuck does it matter what we do? So I decided to slow down and start living with less clutter, less negativity. Adding more love, kindness, compassion, and experiences. Surrounding myself with beautiful humans who uplift my spirit and make me crave more of this life. For me, the essence of life is so simple : love, humans, compassion, kindness, authenticity.
On the other hand, so many have succomb to the eternal rat race, unravelling turn by turn on the wheel, going too fast to notice a single thing pass them by, and thinking that it's 'normal'. Consumed by things, and gossip, and fear mongering living. The lack of authenticity, the disconnection of nature and all things natural, causes so much harm to all living beings on this planet. It hurts to watch people feel miserable and unhappy in a mold they can most certainly get out of. We are so comforted by the idea of traditions, and the 'it's always been this way', that we tend to forget that we have the power to CHOOSE. It's in our power to choose the way we live, the people we see, the things we do. It's all about choices. Our creativity and imagination are grand, and so
