Often times I tell people that building cars is a form of art. If you think about it, everyone starts off with the same base model. For example, a 2010 BMW 328i sedan. That’s definitely something people see 4 times a day during a normal commute; sometimes much more. Point is, it’s a normal car. How can you stand out from the crowd, and create something that you can call your own? Modify it. It’s more than just a game, money pit, or hobby. It’s a work of art. You’re putting your own spin and touch to it. Whenever I build cars or have my phases, I plan things out. I think of the end game before it begins. I know exactly what I want and how I want it to look. I get small pieces of ideas and piece it together. I think that’s the enjoyment of it. I can see if coming together and creating a big picture; much like art. Some might even call me an artist 😏 What I want people I take away from it is that, “Don’t listen to other people’s negative criticism.” You be the judge of your own actions and be happy that you can walk into the grocery store lot and look back to see that you’ve made that. It’s all a part of your own enjoyment. You shouldn’t have to build to please others. Do what you love and know that you’ll be successful in doing it no matter what. Success is gauged by your own actions. That said, my definition of art is, “Creating what you’ve envisioned.” Let’s have a great Thursday!
