I remember how nervous I was when I first started #BBG at home. I was so inspired by seeing @kelseywells results and one of my fav fitness accounts @nikkigundy 🙌🏻💙 who also did all the bbg workouts at home. Let me tell you, those first few months, ok maybe more than a few, were TOUGH. I could barely do more than a few pushups or burpees. But I was persistent and I stuck with it. Every night about 8:30, after both boys were asleep, I would head down to the basement and get it done. Sometimes I would only get through all 4 exercises in one of the circuits one time, sometimes I would modify, but I always tried my best. Even if I could only do one of whatever it was, I tried it. If I can do this, so can YOU. Now it’s been a little over two years of #BBG and I’m currently on week 32 of the @sweat app, and I’m absolutely loving it. This program has brought my confidence back in not only my physical appearance, but mentally I’m stronger and more confident. It has carried over to so many aspects of my life. I’m thankful @kayla_itsines ❤️😘

The reality is as an entrepreneur and working mother there are days that i feel overwhelmed and stressed and there are days that I don’t feel inspired. Since I’m one of those “extra” moms who take a zillion pics, I’ve got comparison photos from Open House a year apart :) I can’t believe my baby is going to middle school 😭. Swipe to see some pics from when she was even younger and I was bigger. Slow and steady wins the race for sure. I’m in no rush anymore because I want it to stick. Nutrition at its best. No compromise quality ingredients to set my children and myself up for the day. Yes is a meal replacement why? Cos it’s super quick to make and I know we are getting what we need to nourish our bodies. One thing that is non negotiable for me is my fitness. Staying active is part of my lifestyle. Going to the gym 5-6 days a week is something that I couldn’t imagine doing 6 years ago.
Physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life.

Happy back and bicep day!!! It was a long night last night, so when it was time to get up, I really didn’t want to. I think that’s why I threw myself into today’s workout. I was angry and needed to work through some things. I have a love/hate relationship with where we live. The summers bring people out and the park behind us has a lot of things going all summer long. Most nights I’m tired enough, I can drown out the noise. Last night was not one of those nights. The last few weeks there has been drums going on and it really is amazing getting to see someone share their culture but I have a hard time with consistent noises. I don’t know why, but after awhile things like that start to raise my anxiety level. I know ear plugs may be suggested but those make me claustrophobic. Plus the Hubby has a hard time waking up with Miya if she doesn’t stay asleep. My plan next week is to be in bed before they start. Compromise....it’s a beautiful thing. Tonight, this momma is definitely crashing because I am beat from not getting to bed on time. We may be out of town but that doesn’t mean I stop taking care of ME. I woke up this morning to see a sweaty selfie already posted on our fitness group page! That inspired me to get my workout in. .
So off to the waterpark went my hubby and the kids and into my workout gear I went. .
With my Netflix of workouts it was easy to complete something that didn’t require weights. Today, CORE de Force, a MMA style workout program. .
So many options, available right on my phone. AND the women in my fitness group motivating me. No excuses.

In and out before 6:30am today. EMOM back and cardio Why? Bc I’ll be at work this week from 7a-5p. So with kids after school activities (and me actually wanting to SEE them at all today- this was honestly my only chance). Now let me tell you- I could have made every excuse in the book not to set my alarm for 4:45 this morning. Let’s see-
I worked for 48 hrs all weekend, only logging around 7 hrs of sleep total. Yesterday I did get to nap for 4 hrs in the morning when I got home but as you can imagine I was still beat. Tried to go to bed early last@night but I seem@to always have trouble sleeping the night after call- no matter how exhausted I am. Fell asleep finally around@10:45. But- here I am. “Why? Stacie? You’re crazy”. Maybe. Maybe that’s true. But the reason im is not because im@worried about “getting fat”, gaining weight, loosing my gains, etc. it’s because the gym makes me feel GOOD! Lifting gives me that adrenaline rush that I need. Being here at the gym makes me smile. I didn’t get to lift all weeekend so my body is craving it. And- the way I look at it- im only getting up about an hour earlier that I would have to for work anyway- im gonna be tired no matter what- might as well be tired and fulfilled! .
So everyone out there- dont@make@excuses! Get it done! (This is NOT to take away from a needed rest day when necessary- those are soooo important too!!)
