This easy veggie flatbread recipe is the perfect way to soothe my PIZZA craving!
It’s so flavorful, you won’t even miss the cheese😉 seriously, give it a try!
-1 small onion, diced or cut into strips
-1 can mushrooms, drained (or ~1 cup fresh)
-1 can tomato paste
-Italian spices (oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, crushed red pepper)
-2 pre-made flatbreads
-Preheat oven to 450
-Sauté the onions in a little bit of vegetable broth in a skillet for about 5 minutes
-Smear as much of the tomato paste onto the flatbreads as you want (I like a LOT of sauce!)
-Add your spices generously (this is where a lot of the flavor comes from!)
-Top with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and whatever other veggie pizza toppings you like!
-Bake for 15-18 minutes on a cookie sheet, or until bread is crispy
This is a healthy recipe you can really get creative with! Try it with tomatoes, spinach, bell pepper, artichokes, etc!👍🏼
