Left - scarlet flax
Right - Evening primrose
Oh, you also might noticed that i used "garden soil" for seeds germination - as opposed to soiless mix (or peat moss). From my experience, using the latter medium always results in low and lengthy germination time
Example, i sowed both primrose and scarlet flax seeds in both mediums. Seeds in garden soil (pic above) germinated in about 3 days. While seeds in peat moss show no signs of germination - and it's already a week!
Tithonia and Asclepias also seem to take longer time to germinate in peat moss. Although there's exception to this, common Sunflower (Helianthus) grow fast in p.m. I wonder what could be the reason...any thoughts? 🤔
