I’ve been taking my time gettin back on my grind, but WOW does it feel good to be lifting again 😍 when I fall off track, my favorite way to ease back in is to focus on feeling good. No feeling guilty, no trying to make up for lost time, just FEELIN GOOD. Yesterday that meant going for a long run, today that meant picking some of my favorite upper body exercises, keeping the rep ranges low, and just seeing what these muscles are made of.

THE WORKOUT:
1️⃣ Wide grip pull down 2 x 5 (superset)
2️⃣ Rope high pull 2 x 10
.
3️⃣ Standing shoulder press 2 x 5 (superset)
4️⃣ Arnold press burnout 2 x (failure)

Yesterday I attended a work event and of course there’s no event without alcoholic drinks. How did I stick within my limit and know when to stop? Well...you just have to say “NO!” It’s honestly as simple as that. 2 G&Ts for me🙋🏽‍♀️ and then sipping glasses of water with a slice of lemon to follow😁Don’t let social pressure get to you, you are YOU and wise enough to make your own decisions.

Barbell pin/rack sumo good mornings- Slow and controlled negatives, completely stopping with a pause on the full stretch.

Set up tip 👉 Set the safety pins low enough that you achieve a maximum stretch/range of motion! Setting the pins too low can cause injury! Test your range of motion for the pin height with light weight prior to heavier working sets.

Form tip 👉 Remember good mornings are basically stiff leg deadlifts with the weight on your shoulders instead of held in your hands. Keep minimal bend in the knees and DO NOT LOCK OUT! Hips are the pivot point. This is a difficult range of motion for the hammies! Judge your range of motion of what you can handle not, what I do.

People often get confused about what they should eat, and that confusion often stems from the idea that there are ‘good’ and ‘bad’ calories. But it’s really not that hard to grasp. For example, today I’ve posted images of two meals. On the left is a Big Mac with large fries and a coke. On the right is a plate of grilled salmon with steamed spinach. Now, given the choice, I’m sure you all know which of these you should be eating. That’s right. Neither of them. Because printer ink is toxic and bleached paper is very hard to digest. . .

I never thought I’d be the type to cut off my hairs every 2 months and like it 👀

The more that the gym became life ( and life got a lot more sweaty)... 😓 .
The fact that I had to use 18292928292 bottles of shampoo from washing my hair more. 🛀
And the damn hair ties had to be doubled up which = headache AF. 🙎🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
