Day 13 of our month long South America trip and we reached Machu Pichu the great. This was one of the most memorable days of our trip.
After waking up at 3:30 am to take a car ride for 1.5 hr followed by a train ride for another 1.5 hr, we started our Inca trail trek of 12 km to reach Machu Pichu. It was definitely the most adventrous and tiring trek we did so far through rough terrain, steep steps and 600 m of elevation gain from 2100 m to 2700 m above sea level and finally the rain to make it more exciting.
In the end when we had a first glance at this amazing place, we forgot how tired we were and immediately took the benefit of this amazing spot which is usually full packed with around 200-300 people in the morning.
