We meet our expanded higher self when we’re at one and at peace with the world. There is no conflict between our inner and outer worlds. We are vibrationally aligned and feeling our infinite interconnectedness with all of creation. But how do we get there? We learn to love ourselves in all our perfections and flaws. When I mean the self, I refer to all our aspects - physical, emotional and mental. Our quirks and our weird parts. That little funny toe that’s been bending sideways since forever, we love that too. When we love and accept ourselves, we become less concerned with how the outside world sees us. We feel more at peace. We’re less anxious and less stressed.⠀ ❁⠀⠀ I’ll tell you something about the state of stress. When we’re in this state the body pumps more cortisol thinking our physical self is under threat, that we need to draw on energy reserves to fight or run. All senses and emotions become heightened. We become focused on physical and material duality to survive. Differentiating on what’s not and what is at the material level for the sole purpose of validating our being, checking that we’re still us. That’s what all those likes social media triggers, what the threat of losing a job gives rise to, and what the end of a relationship feels. The self perpetuates the beliefs it knows to reassure itself of its existence, ignoring all other thoughts and ideas. It’s in a state of contraction.⠀ ❁⠀⠀ Love, on the other hand, opens us up, melts our hardened beliefs, allows us to get out of the state of duality and see life from other people’s shoes. When we start to switch off the stress impulse, we welcome others into our sphere, we see them as mirrors and aspects of us. We become more empathetic and kind. We embody our highest self, because we’ve expanded our energy body to encompass more. This is where we’re all headed.⠀ 🔻🔻🔻⠀⠀ Grab my meditation audio to open up your throat chakra.
