I have kept it quite low carb this morning, saving my carbs for later on today. .

I added soy sauce and oyster sauce to the veg and had a little sweet chilli sauce on my eggs 🙌🏼 .

This is a post run breakfast, I never really feel like eating loads after a run so this was perfect and low calories which means I can have a mid morning snack with a coffee later ☕️ 🍫 😏 .

Dieting doesn’t have to be “boring” but it may be a good idea to have a few staple meals in your back pocket. 🎒

I suggest having 2-3 breakfasts and 4-5 dinners in your meal “library” that you really enjoy and align with your goals - it’ll help you stay on track. 📈

To be honest, I eat a lot of the same foods everyday. Why?? ⤵️
✅I enjoy them (👏🏼👏🏼)
✅It’s less decisions I have to make throughout the day (save time and energy)
✅I know exactly what I need to buy at the grocery store (save time and money)
✅I know how to prepare them and how long it takes to prep them (save time and effort)

If you don’t have “staple” meals yet, take a look at what you’ve eaten in the past few weeks. Do you see trends? Are you a creature of habit or do you like trying new things? Find what works for you!

My typical day of eating looks something like the photo above. And, note that my eating on the weekends is a bit different AND higher calorie (so I am much more structured and eat less calories during the week).

🌟HOW TO EXECUTE THIS:
✅Pick a meal frequency that works for you (mine is 3 bigger meals and maybe 1 snack)
✅Get a meal library together (6-8 meals you love)
✅Compile recipes and figure out calories per meal
✅Go to the grocery store and save yourself time!
✅Repeat the cycle each week 🔄

"I don't eat after 7pm, cause I don't wanna gain weight!" Have you ever said this or heard someone say it so YOU stopped eating after 7pm too? 🍩 DOES EATING AFTER 7 or 8PM MAKE YOU FAT? 🔥

It's a common question, but the short answer is NO.
-
Here's why:
-
🔥Your body is constantly burning energy for fuel from 2 sources:
-
1️⃣ Your body fat
2️⃣ The food you eat
-
Weight gain happens from being in a caloric surplus (eating more calories than you burn) over time. Weight loss happens from being in a caloric deficit over time.
-
So if you burn 2500 calories during the day and save 1000 (or however many you want within your 2500 allotment) to eat right before bed, you'll still be within your maintenance calorie limits.
-
😇 So0o0o0o0o0o while your body will be digesting the food during your sleep, you'll end up burning off what you stored the next day.
-
😘 And if you were to eat all 2500 calories before noon, then eat nothing until the next morning, you'd burn mostly fat that night during sleep.
-
➡️ If you wanted to lose fat, and you ate a big meal of 1000 calories in the morning and 1000 calories right before bed, you'd still create a 500 calorie deficit and magically... you'd lose fat over time even while stuffing your face before bed! 😁
