Just wanted to give you guys an update on this sweet girl. I visited her in the shelter on Wednesday when I dropped off Clementine @kittenholmes (fka Lucia). . . It seriously broke my heart to not take her home with me. I thought she'd have the best chance to get adopted staying at the shelter though, especially with the upcoming adoption events this weekend. . . Things didn't go as planned and while she didn't get adopted, she did get scooped up by one of the best no kill shelters in the city. It's an amazing facility, that's bright, clean and modern. I know she's in really good hands and I think she'll get adopted quickly there with the exposure she'll get. . . A lot of you have inquired about my process and why I left Claudia at the shelter. I will explain my thinking and why I foster for a "kill shelter" in a different post/maybe a video over the next week but please don't think I take these decisions lightly. I try to look at the bigger picture and see where I am needed the most. If I had kept Claudia, who was healthy and ready to be adopted, I would've had to say no to the new kittens that are now in my care. They came to me very unexpectedly and I will share their story tomorrow!
