At first I thought Ableton was maybe like Illustrator for music. No. It's fucking After Effects for music, and I'm sure I'm over simplifying it.
Fuck it's nice.
I think I'll still have to slog away through in Muse for the brass (or maybe I'll just write a cheat sheet for each part, I'm that sold on Ableton, I mean seriously I can control the velocity by just moving that little ball?! That's fucking brilliant).
I was going through some old song files, and ran across this. It's just a short exerpt from an old song I wrote. (Nothing really special.) But, it reminded me of a time when I had the ability to record live drums. I believe every part I recorded was live, and some from actual analog synths like the Novation Super Bass Station. This recording was done while I lived on a street named Lakeland. At this point, I have no intention of ever releasing the recording, other than this post. Though, I do believe there is a place for it in this crazy world. Maybe someday it will find it's place amongst the crazy. #livedrums#anologsynth#novation#kuzweil#organ#superbassstation#meh#blah#sounddesign#producer#groove#yesiplaydrums#nobodycares#shouldierasemyharddrive?
