Sleep is my number starting place for recovery and improving health and performance.

Having optimal sleep has been shown to increase energy, increase creativity, reduce brain fog, reduce fatigue, increase sex drive, increased workout performance, improve immune function (less illness) decrease over eating and body weight. These is lots of research that links weight gain with lack of sleep.

If your are looking to 🔹️Increase fitness or strength
🔹️Decrease body weight
🔹️Improve work performance
🔹️ get more out of life, then sleep.

Here are some tips for better sleep 🔹️if you have stress, be it digestional (gut issues) work, relationship, financial, family, please start addressing these. Stress is a sleep killer.
🔹️get regular exercise
🔹️Set a night routine, cool room 16-18 degrees, same bed time (10pm is a great time for us)
🔹️use a relaxing routine such as box breathing and Valerian tea. (While chamomile is popular for sleep there's a stronger option, valerian tea)
🔹️take a magnesium supplement
🔹️reduce screen time before bed, the blue light and excitement can keep you awake longer.
🔹️Use light red at night, salt lamp at night to read.
🔹️during the day get some blue light, that means uv in eyes, take your glasses/sun glasses off
🔹️spend time in nature 🔹️ practice evening gratitudes (look this up!)
🔹️keep a pen and paper next to your bed so you can write things down if they come into your mind then go to sleep again.

Plants grow in the right conditions, with the right light and the right amount of water - sometimes surrounded by other plants feeding off each other’s energy.
We as people forget that with the right environment, the right light and positive energy, the right food and surrounding ourselves by others who do the same and have that same positive outlook will help us smash out health goals!
If we could be anything let’s be plants 🌱 because simplifying what we need to do to be healthier and happier makes it easier to grasp!

Its been awhile since I have posted anything really in terms of gym, workout or transformation. I guess life is talking a beating on me for awhile n it's getting tough to push the training and nutrition protocol in place. Time to start again and find a new "WHY" as That why is the key to keep u going through the sore times. 💪🏼👊🏻🏋️‍♂️

So that's a wrap guys, 6th competition down for the season. No placing for me today but never the less it was a great experience & the biggest Men's Physique line up I've ever seen, 4 height classes & all up about 80 competitors from all around the world. There's a few places that make me feel the happiest and the most at peace.
.
. 1 Beside my love. 2 With my family in Melbourne and 3 On stage. .
I think about it every day and I although I get so impatient sometimes I always know I need to step back and just enjoy the process and the journey and keep taking it slow but still grinding on the daily. .
Judges feedback from the nationals was really awesome, good posing, shape and symmetry, I just need to keep building some muscle to be more competitive. That's exactly what I plan to do now .. 🙏🖤
