Sunday was.. a lot! 😆 found these photos on my phone this morning. It’s taken me a few days to process “our new normal!” Jon and I woke up to a trial by fire into this family of 4, parenting 2 under 2 situation! Jon heard the normal wake up cry of JM at about 6:30am and wanting me to try and get a few more minutes of precious sleep, he quietly left the room, careful not to wake the dogs or baby, to get JM and start his morning routine of books, waffles, and lining up cars and Choo Choo’s. Within 30 seconds of him leaving the room I heard the call for assistance! I quickly ran in to find a weeping baby, at the same time a wall of STINK smacked me in the face.. Jon was doing that baby carry of just under their armpits but away from your body as we quickly tried to assess the situation and see where the poop was! Needless to say his diaper was off and poop was EVERYWHERE! All over him, all over the crib, but surprisingly not a bit was in his diaper! 🤦🏼♀️😂 dad took charge of bathing and calming down a devastated Jon-Michael who was totally ashamed and disgusted of the situation. Mom got the privilege of cleaning and sanitizing the bedroom.. let’s just say we saved the ninja turtle pillow but the sheets could not be salvaged! Before 7am we felt as though we were ready to wrap up the day! Of course that’s not an option so we pressed on. We made it to church for the first time since Arwen was born and enjoyed precious time with family after church, where JM got to have his first Easter Egg Hunt in Mimi and Bo-Jack’s front yard! Despite the first 30 minutes, it was a great day and one we won’t soon forget! Life is messy, but beautiful and God is good! Praising our King who is Risen Indeed and because of that truth, every Sunday is Resurrection Sunday!!
