inquiries haven’t been coming in much for me within the last month. we always chat it up when we are on fire with bookings, but we hate admitting when we are struggling to book. one thing that’s hard for everyone in the wedding industry, is we have to think about the NEXT year, always. this year is booked, no worries there, but when you hear nothing but crickets for over a month? it can really get to you. my stress has been over the top this last month due to fear of not booking in the same pattern as my peers. not keeping up with my standard booking rate. feeling the fear of having a bad business year. this is an industry where we have to constantly feel the need to think about the future rather than the present. EVERY wedding vendor will understand this. next month could be the polar opposite (let’s hope) so, if you’re a vendor who’s feeling the same pressure and same stress during a slow booking season - until a turn of events, i will awkwardly be jumping at the site of every email notification i get. so far, it’s just been sales ads reminding me that the shoes i have been eyeing are finally on sale.
