Here are some simple asanas that you can do during Pregnancy. .
Regular exercise is important, even for pregnant women! Yoga has amazing health benefits and practicing it during pregnancy can prepare you for the birth, physically and mentally.
Do each pose 2-3 times. In addition to these asanas, do walking, deep breathing and pranayama (shown in my earlier posts)
* Yoga keeps the body supple. They relieve tension around the cervix by opening up the pelvic region. This prepares to-be-mothers for labor and delivery.
* Yoga and pranayama can train you to breathe deeply and relax consciously, helping you face the demands of labor and childbirth
* Yoga helps alleviate the effect of common symptoms such as morning sickness, painful leg cramps, swollen ankles, and constipation
* Yoga asanas also help pregnant women recover faster post-delivery
**I would advice to start yoga or any other form of exercise ONLY after the first trimester, i.e after first 3 months.
**All movements should be slow and smooth.
**Avoid any asanas that presses or puts pressure on the tummy.
