This week’s #WCW is the inspirational Payal Jangid. Payal’s story is one unlike any other. After escaping child slavery in India, she went on to become a children’s rights advocate. In fact, she is currently the leader of her village’s child parliament, which holds meetings to discuss various issues children face in their community. These topics range from things such as lack of gender equality to child marriage. Payal continues to be an advocate for education, & urges all to understand the importance of children having a supportive environment to grow. She states: “ In our society education is not given much importance - it is my duty to explain to the older generation how schooling is very much needed.” Thanks for speaking out on behalf of the younger generations, keep up the great work!
