Intro full body workout :
-warm up 5mins stairs
-walking lunges 10 each leg
-lateral walk 1 min each side -push ups 10 -dips on bench 10 -shoulder press 10
-bicep curls 10 -lat pull down 10 (Repeat 3 times )

Fitness has become a part of who I am. The first thing I like to do when I wake up is go work out, I don’t have time to think about it , I just do it. The days I don’t get to do some kind of training is an off day for me. I wasn’t always like this... Growing up I was made fun of for being fat, I always felt like the odd one out. Since I was 12 years old I began fad diets that wouldn’t last and my weight would go up and down. .
.
I first started by watching YouTube videos of fit girls and competitors, I would follow their diets and routines , I would do so much research on supplements and choosing the best ones, I cut junk food out of my diet completely and I finally started to see the change in my body. I never imagined I would compete or become a trainer, but I became so passionate about the positive impact I was making on those around me, I couldn’t imagine not doing what I do. .i made this motivational video in an amazing training facility @selfmadetrainingfacilitych with @nextlevel_media7 , to motivate and inspire! My work out was powered by @1upnutrition , their supplements always give me the boost I need and their flavors are delicious! .
Weight training to me, is something that makes me feel strong. It’s an outlet where I can put all my energy into and get something positive in return. Some of my best work outs have been when I’m going through hardships in life, I will think about what’s effecting me and take it out on the weights, or runs, or whatever workout I’m doing. .

It is extremely difficult to get into the habit of regularly exercising and eating a healthy diet, but I guarantee it will be one of the best decisions you make for the rest of your life. .

Leg day + prep update🍑

This is 7 weeks out of show day! Weight on the scale hasn’t moved but my body has been changing every week! I used to focus on the number on the scale so much, and I believed if the number wasn’t moving I wasn’t making progress. .
.
By taking biweekly measurements and progress photos I can definitely see some positive changes! Which I would definitely recommend to track progress! .
.
Remember if your lifting weights your hoping to gain muscle, and reduce body fat , and if your not in a caloric deficit your weight on the scale won’t drop no matter how much you exercise. In order to be in a deficit you must eat less energy (calories)than you are using. In this phase I’m still trying to build and shape the muscles but also adding HIIT to burn fat.

- kick backs
-deadlifts -lunges
This work out was higher rep lower in weight (15-20 reps x 3-4 sets)🔥 .

Currently 6 weeks out from my first competition of 2019! (Barely starting my cutting phase starting Saturday I’ve been in my building phase for 6 weeks 😅)

eating 6x meals a day .
Drinking a gallon of water per day .
High protein/medium carbs/moderate fat
.

I don’t want to include my weight or macros because I don’t want someone else to use my macros for themselves. What works for me , may not work for you...we need macros that are customized personally to fit our program, goal, and body type! . Upper body circuit: -bicep curls -wide lat pull down -close grip lat pull down

This time of year is always a time of reflection, I usually compare the changes I have made throughout the years, the people that have came into my life and the people that are no longer there. The changes within myself, as well as my goals and achievements.

I’m glad to say that I have grown so much each and every year, and each obstacle has made me stronger. .
.
I have been able to grow, because I constantly challenge myself, I seek guidance, and most importantly I learn from my mistakes. .
.
The biggest area of growth for me this year has been my ability to connect with others. I used to be very quiet and to myself because I was afraid of what others would think of me. Now, I am very comfortable with creating conversation, and most importantly listening to what others have to say. It wasn’t until I began personal training that I realized how important it is to have good listening skills. This alone has helped me grow tremendously. ❤️ #growth #change #positivethinking #mindset #health

An easy shoulder/leg day warm up!

I’m currently splitting up my workouts a little differently than I have been in the past! I’ve been using a lot more resistance bands on my leg days and targeting my shoulders 2-3x a week instead of 1x also!
.

A good work out program is constantly changing in order for your body to continue to progress! Remember your body adapts! That’s why it’s important to change it up! Whether it’s reps, weight, or intensity!💪
